Resolved:
That it is hereby recommended to his honor
the Mayor and the Chief Engineer of the Fire Department that these members of
the Fire Department be commended and granted some time off with pay, and be

That copies of this resolution be forwarded to
his honor the Mayor and to the Chief Engineer of the Fire Department.
Read twice and adopted.
Alderman Moran offered the following order,
Ordered:
_That Indemnity Insurance Company of North America,
the surety on awning permit bond, (QA-779&9) said bond being given to
secure the City of Somerville on account of a license issued on order of
Board of Aldermen to Dugan & Maynard for an awning over the sidewalk at
S3 Day Street, on February 2^, 1927* k e and it Hereby is released from further'liability
as surety on said bond, provided, however, that this release
shall not affect or release the liability of the said surety on account of
any obligation arising in connection with said bond prior to the date of the
approval of this order by the Mayor.
The said awning having been taken down, the license granted to
Dugan & Maynard for an awning over the sidewalk at 63 Day Street is hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the City Clerk is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this order to the Surety Company above
mentioned.

Alderman Stackpole offered the following order,
Ordered:
His honor the Mayor is hereby requested imme-
diately to repair the Contagious Hospital so that it may be reopened in the
near future, in order that the children of our City may not be compelled to
go to other Contagious Hospitals outside our City and be exposed to condi-
tions not as favorable as we can provide.
