That a Committee be appointed to investigate
It has recently come to our notice and we are
officially Informed this evening through his resignation from this Board of
Aldermen, In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 70&, Section One, Acts
of 19^1* that our associate
ALDERMAN-AT-LARSE IRVING L. 3TACKPOLE
has been Commissioned' a First Lieutenant in the Air Forces of the U.S. Army
and will soon report for active training, and
Whereas:
Our Colleague has been an outstanding member of
the Legislative Branch of our City Government since 193^» serving as its
President in 19^0» and during these years of service to our citizens, his
clear and indefatigable analysis of our City f s problems has displayed unlimited
capacity, and made a distinct contribution to our municipal progress,
be it
Resolved:
That we extend to him our congratulations and
best wishes on the receiving of his Commission, and that we also give this ex
presslon of our confidence that his performances of talent and skill in the
service of his Country will bring praise and glory to him, and success to our
noble cause, and be it further
Resolved:
That a copy of these resolutions be sent to
Alderman-at-Large Irving L. Stackpole, and to his wife and family.
