Ilty <strong>of</strong> <strong>Somerville</strong> to convey title to same to War Materials, Inc. Agent for<br />

Petals Reserve Company, for a nominal consideration, by Bill <strong>of</strong> Sale, the<br />

form <strong>of</strong> which 8hn.ll be approved by the <strong>City</strong> Solicitor-<br />

2. WAR MATERIALS, INC. Ag-ent for Metals Reserve Company, be and it<br />

aereby is given permission, itself or through others, to remove said rails,<br />

track fastenings, end other metallic track material located in the streets<br />

<strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Somerville</strong>, the location <strong>of</strong> which is shown on Exhibit A at-<br />

tached hereto, and for that purpose disturb the pavement in the streets where<br />

said rai'ls are located, provided that the slots from which the rail is re-<br />

moved are refilled with a suitable available paving material. This work shall<br />

be carried out in accordance with specifications approved by WAR MATERIALS,<br />

INC. Agent, as aforesaid, and approved by the <strong>City</strong> Engineer who shall assure<br />

himself that the work is to be done with minimum interference with the move-<br />

ment <strong>of</strong> traffic.<br />

3- That no damage to the streets will be claimed by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Somerville</strong>, providing WAR MATERIALS, INC'. Agent, as aforesaid, performs the work<br />

in accordance with the terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> the specifications approved by<br />

it and by the <strong>City</strong> Engineer, as aforesaid.<br />

Alderman McEvoy <strong>of</strong>fered the following ordersand resolution,<br />

Ordered:<br />

That the Rationing Board <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong> be re-<br />

quested to arrange for the opening <strong>of</strong> another School, in addition to the<br />

Western Junior High School on future registrations conducted by the Board, to<br />

provide for the needs <strong>of</strong> residents <strong>of</strong> West <strong>Somerville</strong>,and at least two schools<br />

In each vard.<br />

Amended to read "at least two schools in each ward" Adopted as<br />

Ordered:<br />

The Chief <strong>of</strong> Police is hereby requested to ar-<br />

range that all cruising Police cars passing the Western Junior High School<br />

after 2 o'clock in the afternoon until late that, night be directed to enter<br />

and ride through the grounds to aid in the stopping <strong>of</strong> breaking <strong>of</strong> school win-<br />

dows and other acts <strong>of</strong> vandalism on the property<br />
