MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS
President Palmer offered the following order,
Ordered:
That the City of Someryille, In accordance with
the General Laws Chapter 16 1 *-, Sections 3^ a "d 35> and any amendments thereto,
untlertake construction, purchase or lease and ma'intaln within Its limits, one
or more plants for the manufacture or distribution of electricity for municipal
use, or for the use of its inhabitants, such plants to include suitable
land, structures, machinery and other apparatus and appliances for manufacturing,
using, and distributing electricity for said purposes.
The purpose and intent of this order is to authorize the City to
acquire one or more plants for the manufacture or distribution of electricity
for municipal use or for the use of Its inhabitants in accordance with said
provisions of the General Laws, above mentioned after being authorized by a
two thirds vote of the Board of Aldermen passed in each of two consecutive
municipal years and thereafter ratified by a majority of the voters of Soraerville
at an annual or special city election.
Adopted by roll call vote 9 yes, 1 no, 1 absent

Alderman Moran offered the following orders,
Ordered:
That American Bonding Company of Baltimore, the
surety on sign permit bond (No. 7125^0) said bond being given to secure the
ClAy of Somervil'le on account of a license Issued on order of Board of Aldermen
to Sacco Rubblcco Bowling Alley Go* Inc- for & sign over the sidewalk at
Holland_.S_treet, on December 3i
be and It hereby is released from fur-
ther liability as surety on said bond, provided, however, that this release
shall not affect or release the liability of the said surety on account of any
obligation arising in connection with said bond prior to the date of the approval
of this order by the Mayor.
The said sign having been taken down, the license granted to Sacco
Rubblcco Bowling Alley Co. Inc. for a sign over the sidewalk at 4 Holland
Street 16 hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the City Clerk is
•hereby directed to forward a copy of this order to the Surety Company above
•mentioned.

That The Employers 1 Liability Assurance Corp o ratlon,
Limited, the surety ;on. sign permit bond, said bond being given to secure
the City of Somerville on account of a license issued on order of Board
of A'ldermen to Druss Super Service Corp. for a sign over the sidewalk at 35
Shawmut Street, on June 12, 19^6, be and It hereby is released from further
liability as surety on said bond, provided, however, that this release shall
not affect or release the liability of the said surety on account of any obligation
arising in connection with said bond prior to. the date of the approval
of this order by the Mayor.
The said sign having been taken down, the license granted to Druss
Super Service Corp. for a sign over the sidewalk at 35 Shawmut Street is
hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the City Clerk is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this order to the Surety Company above
mentioned.
