$^,300.00<br />

I most respectfully request that $^300.00 be transferred from the<br />

Police Department, Salaries and Wages account to Police Department, Mlscellaenous<br />

Expense Account, this amount to be used for the purchase <strong>of</strong> 5 automobiles<br />

(U- cruising cars and one inspector's car). Three <strong>of</strong> these cars are 1<br />

models with a turn in value <strong>of</strong> $200. each, the other two cars are 19^0 models<br />

with a turn in value <strong>of</strong> $150.00 each, making a total turn in allowance <strong>of</strong><br />

$900.00.<br />

The new cars will cost $5> 11 3-75> less tne $900.00 turn in allowance<br />

There will be a small additional expense for extra, equipment.<br />

All five cars at this time are in very poor shape and maintenance<br />

expense on same is mounting rapidly.<br />

Our records show there Is sufficient money in our appropriation to<br />

cover this transfer.<br />

the employment . <strong>of</strong> Jp.mes : F. Flynn, B an employee <strong>of</strong> the Building Department for a<br />

period <strong>of</strong> six months, beginning July 1, 1°.^<br />
