fee associated with the class. Part one of<br />

a two-part course. This course may be<br />

This course completes the two-part esthetician<br />

Cosmetology Licensure Preparation<br />

Prerequisite: Minimum <strong>10</strong>00 course<br />

complete the California State Test<br />

of Cosmetology. Emphasis on test techniques<br />

and preparation for state standards<br />

of all required procedures, consumer<br />

product knowledge use and evaluation,<br />

Prerequisite: Completion of the Cosmetology<br />

This is an advanced course in current skin<br />

care procedures for the licensed cosmetologist<br />

and esthetician. Topics of study include:<br />

skin analysis, cosmetic chemistry,<br />

advanced makeup, body waxing techniques<br />

and salon management. Offered<br />

for Credit/No Credit Only. 54 lecture<br />

An advanced course for the licensed Cosmetologist<br />

on current equipment and the<br />

continuous techniques and products used<br />

in the skin care industry, also, on in depth<br />

studies in skin analysis, corrective treatments,<br />

electrical modalities, current and<br />

cosmeceuticals. This course may be taken<br />

Advanced Haircutting<br />

Prerequisite: Completion of the Cosmetology<br />

program or its equivalent.<br />

The advanced haircutting class is designed<br />

to introduce new methods and continually<br />

changing techniques in style-cutting to the<br />

experienced, professional cosmetologist<br />

and barber. There will be an emphasis on<br />

clipper-cutting and razor-cutting. 27 lecture<br />

hours, 9 lab hours.<br />
