Campus Facilities and Learning Resources<br />
Adaptive PE/Fitness Center<br />
The Adapted Physical Education<br />
Center is the home of the Fitness<br />
Center. It is located between the<br />
main gymnasium and tennis<br />
courts. This facility offers exercise<br />
and fitness programs for students,<br />
<strong>Citrus</strong> <strong>College</strong> employees and<br />
community members who live in<br />
the college district.<br />
The center features cardiovascular<br />
training machines and weight machines<br />
also modified to accommodate<br />
persons with disabilities.<br />
These machines include treadmills,<br />
flexacisers, stationary and recumbent<br />
bicycles, arm ergometers and<br />
stand aids. Individual progress is<br />
monitored by checking blood pressure<br />
(if needed), strength, endurance<br />
and flexibility.<br />
The Adapted Physical Education<br />
Program is also conducted at the<br />
Adapted PE facility. Students with<br />
physical limitations can participate<br />
in this exercise and health-related<br />
physical fitness program, which<br />
includes adapted physical education<br />
courses and adapted aquatics.<br />

Aquatic Center<br />
The Aquatic Center is the home<br />
of the swimming and water polo<br />
teams, and is frequently selected<br />
as the site for regional championship<br />
events.<br />
The Aquatic Center also houses a<br />
therapy pool that is utilized by the<br />
athletic training staff to help treat<br />
injured athletes. It is open to the<br />
community and is often chosen as<br />
a location for television and movie<br />
shoots.<br />
Art Gallery<br />
The Art Gallery is located in the<br />
Hayden Memorial Library and features<br />
year-round exhibits by students<br />
and faculty from the Fine<br />
Arts Department.<br />
Athletic Facilities<br />
<strong>Citrus</strong> <strong>College</strong>'s athletics facilities<br />
are among the best in Southern<br />
California. Recent renovations to<br />
the <strong>10</strong>,000-seat football, soccer<br />
and track stadium include an allweather<br />
track and a field turf surface.<br />
A new turf practice field is<br />
also available. <strong>Citrus</strong> athletes<br />
have the advantage of premium<br />
practice facilities: one weight<br />
training room, a double-circuit<br />
(64-station) fitness center, and<br />
two athletic training rooms.<br />
The campus' athletic facilities<br />
continue to upgrade with the<br />
completion of the new two-story<br />
Field House, a brand new softball<br />
complex, and recent renovations<br />
to the <strong>Citrus</strong> <strong>College</strong> Gymnasium.<br />
The Field House will provide facilities<br />
to support football, baseball,<br />
soccer, cross country and track.<br />
The two-story building will also<br />
feature locker rooms, offices,<br />
equipment storage, and restrooms.<br />
The new softball complex<br />
features two softball fields both<br />
with artificial turf in the outfield,<br />
dirt infields and brand new stateof-the-art<br />
scoreboards.<br />
Campus Center<br />
The Ross L. Handy Campus Center<br />
is maintained by the Associated<br />
Students of <strong>Citrus</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
and provides a relaxation and<br />
meeting place for students, faculty,<br />
staff and the community. A<br />
staff member is on duty in the<br />
lounge area ensuring that the facility<br />
is used in accordance with<br />
ASCC and district policies. For<br />
their safety, children visiting the<br />
Campus Center must be accompanied<br />
by an adult.<br />
<strong>College</strong> Success Program<br />
The <strong>College</strong> Success Program provides<br />
educational opportunities<br />
for students to improve their<br />
reading, writing, math and communication<br />
skills. The program,<br />
which is designed with student<br />
success in mind, is comprised of<br />
the following components:<br />
• <strong>College</strong> Success Centers offer<br />
tutoring, access to learning<br />
software, and free workshops<br />
on study skills and test taking.<br />
• The college success<br />
counselor is available full time to<br />
assist students with class<br />
selection, educational plans, and<br />
access to college wide services.<br />
• Learning Communities<br />
comprised of two or more<br />
“linked” classes, create a<br />
community of instructors and<br />
students, providing more<br />
support for student success.<br />
• Fast Track accelerated classes in<br />
English, reading, math, and<br />
English as a Second Language<br />
allow students to complete a<br />
16-week course in eight weeks.<br />
Fiscal Services/Cashier<br />
Fiscal Services handles all aspects<br />
of the college's financial and<br />
budgetary matters. This includes<br />
student registration fees, childcare<br />
fees, and parking fines.<br />
The cashier's office (also known<br />
as the Bursar) provides a variety<br />
of financial services for students<br />
as well as staff, faculty and the<br />
public. These services include collecting<br />
class fees, debts and outstanding<br />
