ZENITH embarque à bord de l’HYDROPTÈRE
La mythique barrière des 50 nœuds a longtemps représenté, pour la
navigation à voile, l’équivalent du mur du son dans l’aéronautique.
Mesuré à 56,3 nœuds (104,27 km/h), l’Hydroptère d’Alain Thébault a
pulvérisé les records de vitesse, sans utiliser d’autres moyens de propulsion
que le vent. Plate-forme expérimentale high-tech, l’Hydroptère
intègre d’innombrables nouveaux développements techniques, ce qui a
conduit la manufacture ZENITH à prendre place à bord du voilier volant.
Alain Thébault et Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO de ZENITH, viennent de
conclure un accord de partenariat. Cette association réunit deux chefs
de file des défis techniques: l’un maîtrisant la cinématique des fluides et
l’autre la division la plus fine du temps. Alain Thébault, en tant que nouvel
ambassadeur, porte à son poignet la El Primero Striking 10th, le
modèle qui a rendu «visible » le dixième de seconde, soit une alternance
de son moteur.

Hydroptère has smashed the existing records, harnessing the power of
wind alone. The Hydroptère is an experimental hi-tech craft incorporating

Alain Thébault and ZENITH CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour have sealed a
partnership deal founded on their shared passion for technical challenges
and innovation, in the worlds of fluid dynamics and the precise
measurement of time. As Zenith's new brand amùbassador, Alain
Thébault wears the El Primero Striking 10th, the revolutionary model that
makes time 'visible' down to a tenth of a second.

Swarovski a décidé cette année de soutenir la Fondation IRP lors de leur
traditionnel Bal du Printemps. La célèbre marque a ainsi offert un gardetemps,
Rock’n’Light, pour la vente aux enchères ainsi que des parures
pour la loterie.

Swarovski at the Bal du Printemps
Swarovski is supporting the IRP Foundation's traditional Bal du
Printemps for 2011: the celebrated crystal house is donating a
Rock’n’Light watch and a selection of jewellery to the charity auction
held during the evening.
The Rock ’n’ Light is an exercise in style, including the biggest crystal
ever cut and incorporated into a watch design. The cushion-cut rock
crystal espouses the form of the dial and bezel: the uniquely-proportioned
gem is the last word in ultra-feminine style, with 32 symmetrical
facets. The crystal and diamond watch has been designed for women
with a touch of rock'n'roll at heart!
Genève et Zurich dans le top 10.
Selon une étude réalisée en 2010 par le groupe HRG ( Hogg Robinson
Group plc), les hôtels genevois et zurichois se placent parmi les plus
chers au monde. La cité de Calvin s’est hissée du septième au troisième
rang. Outre Sarine à Zurich, les prix ont augmenté de 8%, faisant
ainsi progresser la ville de la douzième à la cinquième place tandis que
dans les autres métropoles européennes, la nuitée est devenue plus
avantageuse. En tête de liste, nous trouvons Moscou en dépit d’une
baisse du rouble de 12%. La reprise économique affecte les prix des
hôtels en Afrique et en Asie où le coût de la nuitée connaît une forte augmentation.

A study carried out in 2010 by Hogg Robinson Group plc puts Geneva
and Zurich hotels among the most expensive in the world, with Geneva
leaping from seventh to third place in the top ten ranking. In Zurich (with
the exception of Sarine), hotel prices have risen by 8 per cent in the past
year, taking the city from twelfth to fifth place, while prices in other
European capitals have dropped. Top of the list for 2011 is Moscow, despite
a 12 per cent drop in the value of the rouble. The economic crisis
has also affected hotel prices in Africa and Asia, where the cost of a
night's stay has risen sharply.
