Education as a tool of resistance In all countries
of the world that have been or are still occupied,
education has played an important role in resisting
the occupation and achieving national independence.
The experiences of many nations highlight this role
including those of South Africa and Palestine. The
conference will also look to shed light on the role
of education in resistance through research papers
dealing with concrete experiences of how to employ
education as a tool to resist occupation and address
all forms of oppression.

لعبت التربية في كل دول العالم التي تعرضت لالحتالل
دورا مهما في مقاومة االحتالل و اجناز االستقالل الوطني و
ظلت جتارب الشعوب ماثلة تعكس هذا الدور في أكثر من
‏.موقع منها جنوب إفريقيا و فلسطني
من هذا املنطلق يتوقف املؤمتر أمام الدور الذي تلعبه التربية
و التعليم في املقاومة حيث يعرض في املؤمتر أوراق بحثية
نظرية حول هذا الدور كما تعرض بعض األوراق التي تتناول
جتارب ملموسة في كيفية توظيف التربية و التعليم كأداة
‏..ملقاومة االحتالل و التصدي لكل أشكال القهر

Right to water & sanitation under occupation
Emergency Water Sanitation and Hygiene Group
(EWASH) Advocacy Task Force Ziyaad Lunat, EWASH
Advocacy Task Force This session will discuss
ways forward to pressure governments and build a
consensus in support of international law and human
rights for all. The focus will be on water and sanitation
in the context of Israel’s control of water resources in
the West Bank and the consequences of the siege in

Education, immigration and development
IDD/UJFP/ATMF The workshop will deal with the
connection between education, migrations and
development from experiences conducted by
associations created by immigrant people in France.
It will also attempt to connect the accomplishments
of Palestinian associations and migrant associations
in order to create a South/South/North partnership
process.

Alternative perspectives for education in solidarity
and citizen’s engagement Cégep de Jonquière This
workshop will put into perspective what is necessary
in order to develop educational content to tackle the
international and intercultural questions regarding
solidarity and social justice. Real experiences from
Quebec from an educational programme focussing
on solidarity and the engagement of the citizen will
be presented. The activity will allow information
exchange and highlight the potential and limits of these

احلكومة وبناء كتلة انتخابية في دعم القانون وحقوق
اإلنسان . وسيتم التركيز على املياه والصرف الصحي في
ظل سيطرة إسرائيل على مصادر املياه في الضفة الغربية
واآلثار املترتبة على احلصار املفروض على غزة.‏

سوف تتناول ورشة العمل هذه العالقة بني الهجرة
والتعليم والتنمية من التجارب التي أجريت من قبل
اجلمعيات التي أنشأها املهاجرون في فرنسا.‏ وستسعى
هذه الورشة أيضا إلى الربط بني اإلجنازات التي حققتها
اجلمعيات الفلسطينية وجمعيات املهاجرين من أجل
إنشاء عملية شراكة بني الشمال و اجلنوب

integrate new action proposals from the 2010 World
Education Forum to be developed during the Pan-
Amazonian Forum in Brazil, November 2010 and
then debated in the 2011 WSF in Senegal as part of
