Education in Jerusalem as a tool of resistances and
identity
The conference addresses the special status of
Jerusalem as part of the West Bank which Israel
is trying to isolate for the West Bank and formally
annexed to the Jewish state. And after the Conference
addresses education in Jerusalem as a tool of
resistances and identity in general, it will move
to discuss some working papers submitted to the
Conference about the special situation of Jerusalem,
where the multiplicity of curricula in schools in
Jerusalem and the absence of standard references
for education in Jerusalem and the implications on
the generation and Jerusalem students who are a
subject to the effects of Israeli occupation which
seeks to obliterate their Palestinian national identity
and their association with the Palestinian people,
the conference also will come across number of
educational experiences in Jerusalem in defense
of identity and how to employ the education for the
maintenance of identity and strengthening the
steadfastness of Jerusalem people in their land.
ARCI/ARCS, Youth Development Department, CGIL/
PROSVIL, Federazione lavoratori della conoscenza
will participate in this conference, presenting an
analysis of the life of Palestinians in Jerusalem
with a particular focus on culture, education and
jobs; as well as focusing on the role of international
cooperation and solidarity.
التعليم في القدس مبواجهة االحتالل والتهويد
يعالج املؤمتر حالة القدس اخلاصة كجزء من الضفة
الغربية حتاول إسرائيل عزلها و سلخها عن الضفة و
ضمها رسميا للدولة العبرية.‏ و بعد أن يعالج املؤمتر
التعليم كأداة للصمود و تعزيز الهوية بشكل عام,‏
تتوقف أوراق العمل املقدمة للمؤمتر عند خصوصية
حالة القدس من حيث تعدد املناهج في مدارس القدس
و غياب املرجعيات املوحدة للتعليم في القدس و
اآلثار املترتبة على ذلك على جيل الطلبة املقدسيني
وسياسات التهويد اإلسرائيلية التي تسعى لطمس
هويتهم الوطنية الفلسطينية و ارتباطهم بالشعب
الفلسطيني,‏ كما يتوقف املؤمتر عند عدد من التجارب
التعليمية في القدس دفاعا عن الهوية الوطنية و
كيفية توظيف التربية من اجل احلفاظ على الهوية
الوطنية وتعزيز صمود املقدسيني واملقدسيات فوق
أرضه.‏

حتليل حلياة الفلسطينني في القدس مع التركيز بشكل
خاص على التعليم والثقافه والعمل , فضال عن التركيز
