Conclusioni<br />

La seconda raccolta dati <strong>di</strong> <strong>OKkio</strong> <strong>alla</strong> <strong>SALUTE</strong> ha confermato la presenza <strong>di</strong> un notevole<br />

numero <strong>di</strong> bambini in stato <strong>di</strong> sovrappeso o <strong>di</strong> obesità: 1 bambino su 3 a livello nazionale.<br />

Assumendo questi valori per tutta la popolazione italiana <strong>di</strong> 6-11 anni, si stima che circa un<br />

milione e centomila bambini siano in con<strong>di</strong>zione <strong>di</strong> eccesso ponderale.<br />

Si conferma, inoltre, una notevole variabilità delle stime <strong>di</strong> prevalenza su base regionale, con<br />

valori più alti al Sud e una forte associazione tra sovrappeso/obesità del bambino e, livello <strong>di</strong><br />

istruzione ed eccesso <strong>di</strong> peso dei genitori. Questi dati sono meritevoli <strong>di</strong> ulteriori<br />

approfon<strong>di</strong>menti.<br />
