100 issues of Menù magazine<br />

The Export Office has always played an important role<br />

for Menù company and therefore also for the magazine,<br />

whereall the initiatives performed by the company abroad<br />

found immediate hospitality.<br />

As a matter of fact, since the very beginning, with “Casa<br />

Modena” experience during 1992 Winter Olympics in<br />

Albertville, the company presentation to the Japanese<br />

importer, the first demos in Germany, the American market<br />

start up, the visits of Dubai customers and the initial<br />

exhibitions in Spain, Menù’s magazine has always hosted<br />

the foreign markets growth. Over the mentioned 25 years,<br />

the Exports turnover has increased from 1.5 million to<br />

22.5 million Euro. In 1992, the Export turnover was 1.5<br />

million euro (well, actually, it was still the time of the Lira<br />

currency!) and counted for the 6% of the company total.<br />

Menù was present in one of the most satisfactory markets<br />

since ever: Japan. In addition, Menù was distributed in<br />

England, Germany, France and Australia. In 2004, when<br />

the company magazine reached no. 50, Menù’s foreign<br />

sales had grown to 6.5 million Euro, representing the 11%<br />

of the total turnover. During the early 2000s, the American<br />

market opened much to the company’s satisfaction. It<br />

was also the period during which Menù began having an<br />

ever more consolidated presence abroad by the constant<br />

opening of new opportunities. The entries of Menù within<br />

Israeli and Russian markets date back to that period. It<br />

was a continuous succession of trade fair attendances<br />

where Menù’s chefs backed up importers through demos<br />

and recipes.<br />

Today, January <strong>2017</strong><br />

Menù’s Export turnover has reached 22.5 million Euro,<br />

representing the 28% of the overall. We are present in<br />

70 countries all over the world and in the latest years<br />

Menù has undertaken a great business challenge: the<br />

catering Europe. Nowadays Menù is a reality within the<br />

international markets: present in all important countries,<br />

Menù gives support to its importers with investments and<br />

other resources to grow together. The latest magazine<br />

issue have reported the market openings in Korea,<br />

Canada, Baltics, New Zealand and finally China. Today,<br />

Menù is facing the international markets dare by relying<br />

on a modern and lead production plant and on a catalog<br />

able to satisfy even the most demanding customer.<br />

Menù’s target today is the same as 1992 one: to supply<br />

with quality Italian food specialties the culinary world so<br />

that abroad foodservice professionals can have the same<br />

quality as that might have in Italy.<br />
