PARK AND NATURE
Camerano è uno dei Comuni del Parco
del Conero. Dalle campagne del borgo
partono, infatti, i sentieri verso il Monte.
È possibile dedicarsi a lunghe passeggiate,
percorrere itinerari in bici o a cavallo
completamente immersi nei colori
e nei profumi della natura della macchia
mediterranea.
Camerano is one of the municipalities in the
Conero Park. Several paths leading to Monte
Conero set out from the town’s countryside.
It is possible to go on long walks, bike or
horseback rides, or enjoy hiking trails completely
immersed in the colours and scents
of the Mediterranean scrub.
I SENTIERI DEL PARCO CHE
PARTONO DA CAMERANO
Sentiero 315: Anello della Pecorara
Un facile anello che inizia dall’ex Cava
di Massignano e prosegue nel piccolo
bosco di roverelle nel fosso della Pecorara
e ritorno.
Sentiero 316: Percorso del Betelico
Dalla località di San Germano si giunge
al fosso del Betelico, attraverso ampi
campi coltivati e dolci colline.
Sentiero 317: Percorso del Boranico
Dall’abitato di Varano si percorre la
strada fino al rio Boranico, lungo il tragitto
si possono ammirare scorci del
Monte Conero, vigneti e campi.
PARK TRAILS STARTING FROM CAMERANO
Path 315: Pecorara’s Ring
An easy “ring route” that starts from the ex
Massignano’s Quarry and it follows the little
downy oaks wood in the Pecorara’s ditch
and return.
Path 316: Betelico Route
You can reach Betelico’s ditch from San Germano,
through large cultivated fields and
smooth hills.
Path 317: Boranico Route
You can walk the road to Rio Boranico from
Varano, through the path you can admire
glimpses of Monte Conero, vineyards and
fields.

HISTORY AND ARCHEOLOGY
Il primo insediamento umano documentato
risale al XI secolo a.C ed era
abitato dagli antichi Piceni. Non a caso
un detto antico recita che Camerano
è molto più antica di Roma. Grazie alle
ricerche della locale Soprintendenza
archeologica sono state ritrovate oltre
cento tombe picene databili tra l’XI e
il III secolo a.C., nella forma tipica della
sepoltura ad inumazione distesa, attualmente
custodite presso Il Museo
Archeologico Nazionale delle Marche
di Ancona.
The first documented human settlement in
the area dates back to the XI century BC,
and was inhabited by the ancient Picenes.
It is no coincidence that an ancient saying
states that Camerano is much older than
Rome. Thanks to research carried out by the
local archaeological superintendence, over
one hundred Picene tombs dating from the
11th to the 3rd century BC have been found.
They have the typical form of lying inhumation
burials, and are currently kept at
the National Archaeological Museum of the
Marche region in Ancona.

Audacity and spirit of innovation have
always characterized the local population,
who have repeatedly shown a great ability
to reinvent themselves even during difficult
times throughout history. Evidence of this
are the Caves, excavated in ancient times
and reused in many different ways over the
centuries. The success of the manufacturing
sector is the result of the initiative of important
personalities and workers’ enthusiasm.
Manufacturing ranged from the production
of busts and caps to that of shirts, an excellence
that still stands today.

FARFISA EXHIBITION
L’esposizione percorre in sette sale ilprocesso
produttivo degli strumenti
musicali prodotti dall’azienda, dai più
vecchi esemplari di fisarmonica all’organo
“compact duo” utilizzato da Rick
Wright dei Pink Floyd nel noto “Live at
Pompeii” del 1971. Un viaggio nella storia
del boom economico locale, attraverso
le trasformazioni dei generi musicali
decade dopo decade.
In seven rooms, the exhibition covers the
production process of the musical instruments
made by the Farfisa company, from
the oldest examples of accordion to the
"Compact Duo" organ used by Rick Wright
of Pink Floyd in the famous 1971 "Live at
Pompeii". It is a journey into the history of
the economic boom, via the transformation
of musical genres through the decades.
