Simmentaler & Simbra ladies bought bandana’s for
R20 in support of The Sunflower Fund.
The Sunflower Fund, a non-profit organisation, has
once again teamed up with Pick n Pay and Round
Table Southern Africa, including Namibia, with
bandanas available at Pick n Pay stores nationwide.
All funds raised from the bandana sales will go
towards assisting The Sunflower Fund in increasing
the South African Bone Marrow Registry, which
exists to find and match bone marrow stem cell
donors to patients who need a transplant.
In doing so they provide hope to those suffering
from leukaemia and other life threatening blood
disorders. Every year thousands of South Africans,
mostly children and teenagers, are diagnosed with
blood disorders such a leukaemia, marrow failure
and aplasia.
“National Bandana Day is our biggest fundraiser
and signature event of the year,” said Tina Botha,
CEO of The Sunflower Fund. “We encourage and
appeal to all South African’s to buy a bandana and
wear it to work, university or school on the 12th
October.”
This year’s funky bandana design comprises the
South African flag colours with the word “Hope”
written in our official languages. Share a Little, Save

Reach for your slippers!

This year… the whole of South Africa will be involved as we take slipper day national!
Each of the 7 Reach For A Dream offices across the country will be working with schools,
companies, businesses and individuals in their areas to get more people into slippers this
year than ever before! There are so many children out there still dreaming and we want to
make sure we reach as many as possible to make their dreams a reality. Help us to reach our
own dream of raising at least R100,000 this year for the Free State & Northern Cape region.
