Summary and Conclusions I ) The ligature of the cystic duct and cystic artery were not susceptible to producing acute cholecystitis in rabbits. 2) The ligature of the cystic duct associated to the galbladder introduction of lysophosphatidilcoline unchained serious lesions of acute cholecystitis in 91.6% of the rabbits - C2 and in 82.3% of the pigs respectively. 3) The simultaneous administration of Diclofenac in the P2 group of pigs - did not cause, in relation to group PI, a decrease of acute vesicular lesions (82.3% P1 and 82.6% P2 respectively) (p=0.649). 4) It was possible to demonstrate bacteriobilia in 57.1% of group PI and 68.7% of group P2, associated with serious lesions of acute cholecystitis. 5) The simultaneous administration of Diclofecnac in group P2 animals did not have any influence in the bacteriobilia in relation to group PI (57.1% PI and 68.7% P2 respectively) (p=0.781). 6) Our investigations permit us to conclude the inefficacy of non-steroid antiinflammatories in the regression of acute cholecystitis lesions and associated bacteriobilia. 165
