Karagöz, bu araştırma için Tarla
Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma
Enstitüsü’nün yıllarca
Müdürlüğünü yapan ve görüşme
tarihinde Bakan Danışmanı
olarak görev yapmakta olan
rahmetli Dr. Baydur Yılmaz’dan
(1941-2007) büyük destek
gördüğünü de ifade ediyor.
Prof. Dr. Alptekin Karagöz, Dr.
Mirza Gökgöl’ün hayatını şöyle
özetliyor:
“Dr. Mirza Gökgöl hakkında
Bakanlık’taki arşiv bilgileri,
ailesinden aldığım bilgiler
dışında bir de emekli olduktan
sonra meslektaşı Recai Taşan
ile birlikte kendi imkânlarıyla
çıkardıkları “Yeşilköy Zirai
Araştırma Enstitüsü-kuruluşu
ve gelişmesi (1926-1961)” adlı
kitapçıktan yararlandım. Dr.
Gökgöl’ün 218 Numarayla kayıtlı
olan Memuriyet Sicil Dosyası
halen Gıda, Tarım ve Hayvancılık
Bakanlığı arşivlerinde
bulunmaktadır.
Mirza Hacızade (Gökgöl),
17 Eylül 1897 tarihinde
Azerbeycan’ın Gence İlinde
doğdu. Babası Hacızade Mirza
Yusuf Bey, annesi de Yakut
Hanımdır. 1906 yılında girdiği
Gence Erkek Lisesinden
1919 yılında 514 Numaralı
diplomayla mezun oldu.
Mezuniyetinin ardından bir
süre İtalya’da tahsil gören Mirza
Bey, buradan Berlin Yüksek
Ziraat Okulunda öğrenimine
devam ederek 23.06.1924’de
Ziraat Diplomasını; aynı okulda
Doktora öğrenimine devam
ederek 15 Nisan 1930’da da

September 17, 1897 in Ganja, Azerbaijan.
His father is Hacızade Mirza Yusuf and
his mother’s name is Yakut. In 1906, he
graduated from Ganja Male High School in
1919 with diploma number 514.
many people beginning from Governor
of Ganja, the birthplace of Dr. Gökgöl to
his son Demir Gökgöl, who is a theatre
actor. Dr. Karagöz, also said that he
saw great support from Dr. Baydur
Yılmaz (1941-2007), who had been the
Director of the Field Research Institute
for many years and who was serving as
the Minister›s Adviser at the date of the
interview.
Prof. Dr. Alptekin Karagöz sums up Dr.
Mirza Gökgöl’s life as follows:
“In addition to the information I
received from his family and the
Ministry archive about Dr. Mirza Gökgöl,
I benefited from the booklet “Yeşilköy
Agricultural Research Institute-
Establishment and Development (1926-
1961)”, which he had published with
his own initiatives together with his
colleague Recai Taşan, after retirement.
The Official Duty Registration File of Dr.
Gökgöl, registered with number 218, is
still in the archives of the Ministry of
Food, Agriculture and Livestock.
Mirza Hacızade (Gökgöl) was born
on September 17, 1897 in Ganja,
Azerbaijan. His father is Hacızade
Mirza Yusuf and his mother’s name
is Yakut. In 1906, he graduated from
Ganja Male High School in 1919 with
diploma number 514.
Having been educated in Italy
for a period of time following his
graduation, Mirza Bey continued
his studies at the Berlin Higher
Agriculture School, where he received
the Diploma of Agriculture on June
23, 1924 and then, he continued his
PhD studies at the same school and
received his PhD Diploma, which was
signed by Rector Professor Aereobe on
April 15, 1930.
In 1929, Mirza Bey started to work
at the Ministry of Agriculture with
the registration file number of 218
as “Doctor of Ameliorative Surgeon”
(Doctor of Seed Breeding Expert) in
Halkali Higher Agriculture School.
He took his surname “Gökgöl” on his
own request on December 17, 1934.
In our conversation with his son
Demir Gökgöl, he indicated that his
father had always remembered the
Ganja province and the lake known
as “Göygöl” (which means “Blue Lake”)
on the Azerbaijani Turkic, and he also
said that from this reason he chose
the surname of “Gökgöl”.
As a result of the doctoral work
completed by Mr. Mirza Bey in
Germany, the Ministry of Agriculture’s
written opinion on the initiative
of the Halkalı Agriculture School
was written by Süreyya Bey on
16 August 1826 on behalf of the
Minister of Agriculture. In this article,
it is summarized that Mirza Bey,
an Azerbaijani coach, is “capable
of completing the mastermind of
this master’s science team”, he
has received a good education
in Germany and his expertise is
obtained from Professor Baver and
other professors. A room to be used
as a laboratory, and a budget for
expenses should be allocated. The
article also states that the accent is
going to be improved over time since
he is from Azerbaijan, and even if
