Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul<br />
and Chief of Staff and Advisor to<br />
the Minister and later Counsellor,<br />
Chargé d’Affaires and at the Afghan<br />
Embassy in Washington, D.C., as<br />
well as Director-General of the Office<br />
of Human Rights.<br />
• <strong>2017</strong>: Ambassador to the Republic<br />
of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina,<br />
Croatia, Hungary, Liechtenstein, and<br />
Slovenia. She promotes the multilateral<br />
agenda with the Vienna-based<br />
organizations including CTBTO,<br />
IACA, IAEA, ICMPD, INCB, OSCE,<br />
UNIDO, UNOV/UNODC.<br />

• 2010-2013: Overseas, she has served<br />
as Minister Counsellor and Head<br />
of Political Section at Canada’s<br />
Permanent Mission to the UN in<br />
New York and was Deputy Permanent<br />
Representative of Canada to<br />
NATO. She is a past recipient of both<br />
the Minister’s Citation for Foreign<br />
Policy Excellence and the Deputy<br />
Minister’s Award of Excellence.<br />
