drei Jahren und 40,9 % nach zehn Jahren postoperativ.
Ein Vergleich 18 zwischen der Genauigkeit zwischen „alpha defensin lateral
flow test“ und Gefrierschnittuntersuchung zur intraoperativen Detektion von
periprothetischen Infektionen zeigte eine deutlich höhere Sensitivität der
Gefrierschnittanalyse.
Diese Studie 19 zeigte eine Sensitivität von 69 % und Spezifität von 94 %
für den kommerziell verfügbaren Alpha-Defensin-Test zur Detektion von
periprothetischen Infektion. Somit könnte es als zusätzliches Tool einen
Mehrwert in der Diagnostik bringen, der Test stellt jedoch keinen Ersatz der
bereits etablierten Methoden dar.
Eine kombinierte Analyse 20 von der Kultur der Synovialflüssigkeit und der
Multiplex PCR zeigte eine Verbesserung der Sensitivität von 71 % (mPCR)
bzw. 84 % (Kultur) auf 92 %.
