1. The Universal Declarati<strong>on</strong> of human Rights (UDhR)<br />

The Universal Declarati<strong>on</strong> of human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the United Nati<strong>on</strong>s in<br />

1948. Many other documents have since been developed to provide more specific details about<br />

human rights; however, they are all based <strong>on</strong> the fundamental human rights principles laid out<br />

in the UDHR. The full text of the UDHR can be found in Annex 1, p. 244. Below is the official<br />
