Internati<strong>on</strong>al labor organisati<strong>on</strong> (Ilo): An intergovernmental organizati<strong>on</strong> established in<br />
1919 as part of the Versailles Peace Treaty to improve working c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s and promote social<br />
justice; the ILO became a Specialized Agency of the UN in 1946.<br />
Interrelated: Refers to the c<strong>on</strong>cept that human rights are complementary and affect each<br />
other.<br />
legal capacity: 1) the recogniti<strong>on</strong> of some<strong>on</strong>e as a pers<strong>on</strong> before the law; ensures that<br />
people are legally c<strong>on</strong>sidered pers<strong>on</strong>s and not just objects or the property of others; and 2)<br />
the capacity to act; ensures that people are able to exercise their legal capacity, for example<br />
