Stem cells are non-specialized cells with the ability (potency)<br />
to develop into different cell types (e. g. heart, nerve, blood,<br />
muscle and cartilage cells).<br />
Stem cells are able to multiply without loosing their pluripotency<br />
and to develop into specialized, organ-specific<br />
cells. Depending on their origin, they are divided into embryonic<br />
and adult stem cells.<br />
For the cultivation of embryonic stem cells PAN-Biotech<br />
has developed a complete ready-for-use medium. The medium<br />
contains foetal bovine serum.<br />

Description/Beschreibung<br />
Stammzellen sind nicht spezialisierte Zellen mit der Fähigkeit<br />
(Potenz) sich in verschiedene Zelltypen (z. B. Herz-,<br />
Nerven-, Blut-, Muskel- und Knorpelzellen) zu entwickeln.<br />
Stammzellen sind in der Lage, sich selber zu vermehren<br />
ohne ihre Pluripotenz zu verlieren sowie sich in spezialisierte,<br />
organspezifische Zellen auszudifferenzieren. Man unterscheidet<br />
je nach Herkunft zwischen embryonalen und adulten<br />
Stammzellen.<br />
Zur Kultivierung embryonaler Stammzellen hat PAN-Biotech<br />
ein gebrauchsfertiges Komplettmedium entwickelt. Das<br />
Medium enthält fötales Kälberserum.<br />

Based on EMEM this medium was supplemented with<br />
larger quantities of amino acids and vitamins and optimized<br />
for an improved growth for fibroblasts. For the cultivation<br />
of fibroblasts, this medium must be supplemented with<br />
10 % FBS before use.<br />

Description/Beschreibung<br />
Basierend auf EMEM wurde dieses Medium mit zusätzlichen<br />
bzw. größeren Mengen an Aminösäuren und Vitaminen<br />
ergänzt und <strong>da</strong>mit für ein verbessertes Wachstum für<br />
Fibroblasten optimiert. Zur Kultivierung von Fibroblasten<br />
muss dieses Medium vor Gebrauch mit 10 % FBS supplementiert<br />
werden.<br />
