Serum-free Systems
Panserin 411S is a complete ready to use medium for the
serum-free cultivation of myeloid and lymphoid cells for
cytological examination.
Composition:
Based on RPMI 1640 medium, additional trace elements,
albumin, cholesterol, soy lipids, vitamins and hormones
are added.
Suitability:
Panserin 411S is a serum-free complete medium for the
cultivation of myeloid and lymphoid cells from peripheral
blood or bone marrow. It is therefore suitable for a rapid
expansion of blood cells in order to investigate leukemic
diseases (ALL, AML, CLL, CML, MPN, MDS). The state of
the art diagnostic techniques of leukemic diseases are
based on the interaction of cytomorphology including
cytochemistry with immunophenotyping, chromosome
banding analysis, FISH and molecular genetics. In Panserin
411S the number and quality of metaphases are significantly
higher and independent of individual batches as
compared to serum-containing media.
Suitability:
Cells (1x10 7 ) are seeded in 5 ml Panserin 411S. Depending
on the assay or quality of raw material, an unstimulated
culture and another 1-3 cultures with appropriate growth
factors are prepared. The culture time is 24 to 72 hours
at 37°C in an incubator with 5% CO2 gasing.
The processing of the metaphases is done with hypotonic
KCl solution and Carnoy´s fixative.

Panserin 411S ist ein komplettes, gebrauchsfertiges
Medium für die serumfreie Kultivierung von myeloischen
und lymphatischen Zellen für zytologische Untersuchungen.
Zusammensetzung:
Basierend auf RPMI 1640 wurde das Medium mit
zusätzlichen Spurenelementen, Albumin, Cholesterin, Sojalipiden,
Vitaminen und Insulin supplementiert. Es enthält
keine Wachstums- und Anheftungsfaktoren.
Eignung und Anwendungsgebiete:
Panserin 411S ist ein serum-freies Komplettmedium für
die Kultivierung von myeloischen und lymphatischen Zellen
aus peripherem Blut oder Knochenmark. Es eignet sich
daher für eine schnelle Expansion von Blutzellen um
anschließend mit zytologischen Untersuchungen leukämische
Erkrankungen feststellen zu können (ALL; AML;
CLL; CML; MPN; MDS). Die Anzahl und Qualität der Metaphasen
ist im Vergleich zu serum-haltigen Medien deutlich
höher und unabhängig von einzelnen Chargen.
Anwendungsbereich:
In 5 ml Panserin 411S werden 1x10 7 Zellen eingesetzt.
Je nach Fragestellung bzw. Qualität des Ausgangsmaterials
werden eine unstimulierte Kultur und weitere 1-3 Kulturen
mit entsprechenden Wachstumsfaktoren angesetzt. Die
Kulturdauer beträgt 24 bis 72 Stunden bei 37 °C im Brutschrank
mit 5%iger CO2-Begasung
Die Aufarbeitung der Metaphasen erfolgt mit hypotoner
KCl-Lösung und Carnoy‘s Fixativ.
