Deidamia and Eurytion. Marble group from the west pediment of the Temple of Zeus at<br />

Olympia, ca. 460 B.c. The wife of Pirithoiis, Hippodamia (or Deidamia) fights off the<br />

drunken centaur, Eurytion, at her wedding feast. This is the principal group to the<br />

viewer's left of Apollo, the central figure (see p. 246). (Olympia, Museum.)
