Scales should indicate weight by means of a<br />
beam with balance indicator, full range dial,<br />
or digital display.<br />
For all types of batching systems the<br />
weighing devices must be readable by the<br />
batchman and the inspector from their normal<br />
stations.<br />
Scales should be certified or should be<br />
calibrated with a certified scale.<br />
Ten 25 kilogram test weights should be<br />
available at the plant at all times.<br />
Scale accuracy should generally be within<br />
plus or minus .4 percent of the scale<br />
capacity.<br />
Water meters will need to be calibrated to 1<br />
percent of total added amount.<br />
