(f ) premises that <strong>the</strong> Director may, by notice posted to or served on <strong>the</strong><br />

owner, specify that he considers could cause great harm in <strong>the</strong> event<br />

<strong>of</strong> an electrical accident.<br />

20C Periodic Test Certificate<br />

(1) The owner <strong>of</strong> an installation which requires periodic testing should deliver<br />

a test certificate to <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>for</strong> endorsement within 2 weeks after <strong>the</strong><br />

date <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> certificate. The owner should submit a current endorsement<br />

fee <strong>for</strong> each certificate delivered to <strong>the</strong> Director.<br />

(2) Where an installation is subdivided into more than one part and<br />

individual parts are not inspected and tested by <strong>the</strong> same registered<br />

electrical worker, a single test certificate may be issued and certified by a<br />

registered electrical worker to cover a number or all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> individual<br />

parts, provided that he has received <strong>the</strong> appropriate test certificates<br />

signed by o<strong>the</strong>r registered electrical workers <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> individual parts.<br />

(3) The test certificates should be in prescribed <strong>for</strong>ms specified by <strong>the</strong><br />

Director and pr<strong>of</strong>orma <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> certificates can be obtained from EMSD’s<br />

Customer Services Office or downloaded from www.info.gov.hk/<strong>for</strong>ms.<br />

(4) All installations which require periodic testing and are connected to<br />

electricity supplies on or be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> commencement date <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Wiring</strong><br />

<strong>Regulations</strong> (1 June 1992) are considered to have been inspected, tested<br />

and certified on that date.<br />
