(f ) Supply from generator set<br />

Where <strong>the</strong> electricity supply is obtained from a generator set, <strong>the</strong><br />

TN-S earthing system should be used.<br />

(4) Inspection, testing and maintenance<br />

An owner <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> temporary installation should ensure that <strong>the</strong> electrical<br />

equipment and apparatus are maintained in a safe and proper working<br />

condition at all times.<br />

A registered electrical worker should be appointed to be responsible <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> safety and any alteration or extension <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> installation. The name,<br />

designation and contact telephone number <strong>of</strong> such person should be<br />

permanently displayed close to <strong>the</strong> main switch <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> installation.<br />

A separate log book recording regular checks, maintenance, repair,<br />

extension and alteration should be provided <strong>for</strong> inspection by <strong>the</strong> Director<br />

and <strong>the</strong> electricity supplier.<br />

26L Hot Air Saunas Installation<br />

(1) General<br />

The particular requirements <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Code</strong> should apply to:<br />

(a) sauna cabins erected on site, e.g. in a location or in a room;<br />

(b) <strong>the</strong> room where <strong>the</strong> sauna heater is, or <strong>the</strong> sauna heating appliances<br />

are installed. In this case <strong>the</strong> whole room is considered as <strong>the</strong> sauna.<br />

The requirements <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Code</strong> do not apply to prefabricated sauna cabins<br />

complying with a relevant equipment standard.<br />

(2) Classification <strong>of</strong> zones<br />

The zones specified below should be taken into account (see Figure<br />

26(2)):<br />

(a) Zone 1 is <strong>the</strong> volume containing <strong>the</strong> sauna heater, limited by <strong>the</strong><br />

floor, <strong>the</strong> cold side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>rmal insulation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ceiling and a<br />

vertical surface circumscribing <strong>the</strong> sauna heater at a distance 0.5m<br />

from <strong>the</strong> surface <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> heater. If <strong>the</strong> sauna heater is located closer<br />

than 0.5m to a wall, <strong>the</strong>n Zone 1 is limited by <strong>the</strong> cold side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>rmal insulation <strong>of</strong> that wall.<br />

(b) Zone 2 is <strong>the</strong> volume outside Zone 1, limited by <strong>the</strong> floor, <strong>the</strong> cold<br />

side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>rmal insulation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> walls and a horizontal surface<br />

located 1.0m above <strong>the</strong> floor.<br />
