The antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of the methanolic extract of Mitragyna speciosa Korth
(MSME) were evaluated in mice and rats. The antinociceptive activity was measured using the writhing, hot
plate and formalin tests, while the anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated using the carageenan-induced paw
