AREA I EVENTS<br />

3) AWARDS: Trophy and 6 ribbons for each division. GMHA Member special award for best overall<br />

score at any level. Eileen Wilmot Scholarship awarded in the JYOP division sponsored by Birch Hill Farm.<br />

Rozo McLaughlin award tgoes to lowest scoring adult amateur sponsored by Area 1 Adult Riders.<br />

4) STARTING TIMES: Times will be posted on www.gmhainc.org and www.area1usea.org Check<br />

program for official times.<br />

5) STABLING/VETERINARIAN: 155 permanent box stall and 42 portable stalls, all with solid doors.<br />

No bedding or hay provided, available for sale $10 per bale/bag. No tack stalls available. Stalls are to be<br />

stripped upon departure. You will be billed $50 for dirty stall. No non competing horses on grounds. Vet/<br />

Farrier on call Friday, on grounds Saturday and Sunday.<br />

6) ACCOMMODATIONS: Woodstock Inn 800-448-7900 or visit ww.gmhainc.org for accommodations<br />

list. Town of Woodstock Zoning prohibits camping of any kind on GMHA grounds.<br />

7) DIRECTIONS: From West: NY Thruway to 1-87 northway to exit 20. Take Rte 149 to Fort Ann,<br />

then Rte 4 east to Rutland then Woodstock. Take right on Rte 106 before Woodstock Inn south 6 miles<br />

to GMHA. From South: I-91 to Ascutney exit 8, Rte 131 west 7 miles to Rte 106 north, 12 miles to<br />

GMHA. From East: I-89 north to exit 1 in VT. Take Rte 4 west to Woodstock, Then right on Rte 106 south<br />

to GMHA. SPEED limit 25 mph strictly enforced in Woodstock.<br />

8) DRESSAGE: P- 2010 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm. T- 2010 USEF Training Test B-Sm. N 2010 Novice<br />

Test B-Sm. BN 2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: Sand and grass arenas.<br />

9) CROSS-COUNTRY: P -2800m at 520 mpm, T -2400m at 450 mpm, N -2000m at 350 mpm,<br />

BN 1600m at 350 mpm Terrain: hilly, much water, fields and woods.<br />

10) OTHER INFORMATION: Cross-country is closed July 1. No wheeled or motorized vehicles on<br />

cross-country course. Concession on grounds during show hours. Strict Dog Policy: Pets must be leashed<br />

at all times, $50 fee for each off leash occurence. No dogs allowed on cross-country course on<br />

cross-country day. Horses must wear bridle number when out of stall. Cell phone dover is unreliable in<br />

Vermont and non existent at GMHA. Bring a calling card.<br />
