AREA VII EVENTS<br />

3) AWARDS: Tack and cash awards $3,000; Ribbons to 8th place. 1st & 2nd place team awards.<br />

4) STARTING TIMES: Available at www.inavalefarm.com after June 21st.<br />

5) STABLING/VETERINARIAN: Limited temp covered stalls. Covered stalls available from Wed. pm<br />

to Monday am. No arrivals before Wednesday afternoon without permission from organizer (email<br />

preferred). Stall doors & initial straw bedding only provided. Additional bedding: straw $5/bale, shavings<br />

at cost. Extra bedding available for purchase from secretary at show. Haul-in fee $50. Contact secretary for<br />

tack stalls (if available), no stabling available for non competing horses. Veterinarian: Town & Country<br />

Animal Clinic, # will be posted on bulletin board by secretary´s tent.<br />

6) ACCOMMODATIONS: Salbasgeon Suites (1730 NW 9th St., Corvallis), (800) 965-8808 ask for the<br />

group code "Horse4". To get the show discount rate ($80) reservations must be made by June 7th. More<br />

local hotels. Camping: On grounds; no hook-ups, no fee.<br />

7) DIRECTIONS: Address: 31786 Horse Farm Lane, Philomath, OR 97370 From I-5 Exit 228: Follow<br />

signs to Corvallis. In Corvallis, south on Hwy 99 (fourth street in Corvallis), follow signs toward Junction<br />

City/Eugene, 3 miles south of Corvallis, right (west) on Airport Road. 4 miles to flashing red - go straight.<br />

1 mile to stop sign - go straight. Right at fork where road turns to gravel. Right on Sexton Rd., left on<br />

Horse Farm Lane.<br />

8) DRESSAGE: Test & arena sizes: I-2010 USEF Intermediate Test A-Std. P-2010 USEF Preliminary Test A<br />

-Sm. T- 2010 USEF Training Test A-Sm. T3D- 2010 USEA T3D Test B- Std. N- 2010 USEF Novice Test A-Sm.<br />

BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm. Arenas: Grass.<br />

9) CROSS-COUNTRY: T3D: "A"-2346 m @ 220 mpm, "B"-1300 m @ 520 mpm, "C" 3535 m @ 160<br />

mpm, "D" 3000 m @ 470 mpm. I-3100 m @ 550 mpm. P-2700 m @ 520 mpm. T-2400 m @ 450<br />

mpm. N-1950 m @ 375 mpm. BN-1800 m @ 350 mpm/max. fence height 2'9". All courses: Average, for<br />

horses with some experience at this level. Aerated footing in all phases. Sand added to galloping tracks.<br />

Terrain: Hills, fields, forests, great water complex.<br />

10) OTHER INFORMATION: Cross country course closed June 5. Prior to June 5 by<br />

appointment. Catered dinner Saturday eve; live music-$15; must reserve in advance, send with<br />

entry. Food available on grounds Friday am through Sunday lunch. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH<br />

AT ALL TIMES. Smoking only in Fire Marshall-dicatated areas, no smoking in competition and<br />

stabling area. Open Team Competition Teams of 3 or 4, best 3 scores to count, all members must be at<br />

same level, $10/team member. For a list of local activities within a short drive (wineries, waterfalls, beach,<br />

golf, etc.) visit our list or stop by the secretary´s booth during the show. Volunteer Contact: Volunteers<br />

greatly appreciated, please contact volunteer coordinator Volunteer@inavalefarm.com. Volunteer raffle<br />

prizes given away throughout the event, sign in at the secretary´s booth. T3D Qualifications: Both horse<br />

and rider must have obtained NQR's at Four Horse Trials at the Training Level or higher, one of which<br />

must be attained as a combination. A competitor established at the Preliminary Level may compete on a<br />

horse which has obtained Two NQR's at the Training Level or higher.<br />
