AREA I EVENTS<br />

4) STARTING TIMES: Available from sec´y as of Thursday, August 18 on the Area 1 website at www.<br />

area1usea.org or by phone after 6pm. Postcards will not be sent. However emails are sent - Please make<br />

sure your email address is legible on your entry.<br />

5) STABLING/VETERINARIAN: Limited on site stabling: $75 for the duration (3 night maximum),<br />

32 stalls on grounds (first come, first reserved) initial bedding provided. Off-site: 0-10 miles from event,<br />

$30/night, no bedding. $25 stall cleaning deposit required for all stabling - separate check made payable<br />

to Great Vista. Check destroyed if stall cleaned/cashed if not. Feed/Bedding/Hay available for purchase;<br />

further info from sec´y or organizer. Veterinarian: # will be posted at sec´y´s stand, in program & at<br />

stabling.<br />

7) DIRECTIONS: Address: 556 Paris Rd, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Route 90 (NY Thruway) to Exit 29<br />

Canajoharie; at end of exit turn right on 5S. Stay on 5S in Fort Plain, follow truck route (take right at<br />

light, straight thru second light, at end turn right). Go up Sand Hill, near top of hill, turn left on Paris Rd.<br />

1 mile to Farm on left. Look for large brown barn for secretary and information. Watch for signage from<br />

thruway.<br />

8) DRESSAGE: Test & arena sizes: Arenas: All weather surface. T -2010 USEF Training Test A-Sm.<br />

N -2010 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN -2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Intro <strong>Eventing</strong> Test -2010<br />

9) CROSS-COUNTRY: T-2000 m @ 450 mpm. N.-1900 m @ 400 mpm. BN.-1800 m @ 350<br />

mpm. Intro <strong>Eventing</strong> Test -300 mpm, 2'3". Terrain: Open field, rolling hills. All courses: Average, for<br />

horses with some experience at these levels.<br />

10) OTHER INFORMATION: Cross-country course closed July 18.Riders limited to 2 horses/level, or 4<br />

horses/entire event.<br />

Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and<br />

birth date on entry.<br />

Food available on grounds.<br />

Dogs must be leashed: loose dogs will be impounded; $50 loose dog fine.<br />

Competitors Party: Great food, Saturday, beginning around 6pm at Brown Barn. Competitors free, all<br />

others $10/person; please include with entry.<br />
