THE SUCCESSORS OF GENGHIS KHAN<br />

First Son—Bat- Temiir<br />

He had three sons: Toqanchar, Yi'lqichi, and Kokechii. None <strong>of</strong> them<br />

had issue.<br />

Second Son—-Bayan<br />

He had two sons: Qazan and Dashman. <strong>The</strong>y had no issue.<br />

Third Son—Lfrung-Temiir<br />

He had four sons: Achi'q, who had a son called Bakhtiyar; Ari'qli,<br />

who had three sons, 'Adil, Saqrichii, and Anbarchi; Qaraqiir, who had<br />

three sons, Negiibei, Kereiche, and Shibaghuchi; and Saricha, who had<br />

one son called Konchek.<br />

Fourth Son—Ked-Temur<br />

He had two sons; Qara-Khwaja and Abai.<br />

<strong>The</strong> branch <strong>of</strong> Toqa-Temiir, the thirteenth son <strong>of</strong> Jochi <strong>Khan</strong>, has<br />

been completed by His grace and favor.<br />

Fourteenth Son <strong>of</strong> Jochi <strong>Khan</strong>—Shinggum<br />

This Shinggum had no issue.<br />

<strong>The</strong> sons <strong>of</strong> Jochi <strong>Khan</strong>, according to the reports <strong>of</strong> trustworthy<br />

persons, are these fourteen, whose names, and those <strong>of</strong> their sons and<br />

grandsons, have been recorded in detail, and whose genealogical<br />

table is as here shown.<br />
