Channelling and removal of the water<br />

Site<br />

The albella was dug in a cultivated terraced<br />

field, crossing it obliquely and<br />

its outlet is in the facing of the terrace<br />

wall surmounted by a stone lintel. The<br />

slope where it lies is completely terraced<br />

and used as olive grove.<br />

<strong>Materials</strong><br />

Limestone.<br />

Profile<br />

Sloping with a steeper gradi<strong>en</strong>t in its<br />

last few metres than in the rest of the<br />

channel.<br />

Bed<br />

Stone paved.<br />

Channel walls<br />

The walls of the channel consist of 20<br />

cm high stone slabs laid on <strong>en</strong>d.<br />

Roofing<br />

The channel is also covered by stone<br />

slabs laid as lintels.<br />
