Uses<br />

Track built by Archduke Llufs Salvador<br />

of Hapsburg-Lorraine betwe<strong>en</strong> 1883<br />

and 1895 (Caflellas, 1997) to <strong>en</strong>joy<br />

the view of the landscape. It joined<br />

the Ca Mado Pilla hostelry and the<br />

Son Moragues snow house.<br />

Construction Features<br />

This <strong>sec</strong>tion of the track, which is characteristic<br />

of the work of Archduke<br />

Llufs Salvador, is supported on both<br />

sides by 0.75 and 1.15 m high retaining<br />

walls with a maximum width of<br />

1.60 m. It does not have any characteristic<br />

bridle path features such as<br />

corner posts and drainage ditches.<br />

Cami de ses Voltes d'<strong>en</strong> Galileu<br />

Uses<br />

Snow workers' track undoubtedly built<br />

at the <strong>en</strong>d of the 18th c<strong>en</strong>tury to give<br />

access to snow houses and to <strong>en</strong>able<br />

the ice to be brought down and sold.<br />

Rough stone.<br />

Cobbled.<br />

Construction Features<br />

The track is supported by a retaining<br />

wall and at some points reaches a<br />

width of 3 m. It has a low 90 cm wide<br />

sidewall for side protection and a <strong>sec</strong>tion<br />

with corner posts with no gaps<br />

betwe<strong>en</strong> them.<br />

Use<br />

It linked the fields separated by the<br />

main Son Barrera road.<br />

The 1.96 m wide track is bordered by<br />

two walls. One ofthem is 0.85 m wide<br />

and 1 m high with no defined upper<br />

row; the other is a small retaining wall<br />

70 cm high with an upper row.<br />

It linked the fields betwe<strong>en</strong> camf de<br />

Santa Rita, near Can Bovet, and camf<br />

de Son Horrach, near the Can Tomas<br />

farmhouses.<br />

The wall's <strong>sec</strong>ondary facing forms the<br />

track's surface.<br />

Construction Features<br />

The track runs along the top of a 1.61<br />

m wide and 1 m high boundary wall.<br />

The wall was built with barely dressed<br />

limestone and a finishing upper row<br />

on both sides. It has projecting steps<br />

which serve as mounting blocks in<br />

one of the fields. On the other side<br />

there are sticks with wiring on the<br />

upper row.<br />
