Cami de Bimyo/s<br />

Uses<br />

a public track which linked the villages<br />

of Binissa/em and Alaro. Conflicts<br />

are docum<strong>en</strong>ted in the 17th c<strong>en</strong>tury<br />

about closing the track and throughout<br />

the 19th c<strong>en</strong>tury it was frequ<strong>en</strong>tly<br />

repaired by the governm<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

Construction Features<br />

The track lies in a more or <strong>les</strong>s flat<br />

area and does not have supporting<br />

walls. Its surface is bordered by two<br />

double drystone walls with "corona"<br />

(the finishing upper row) with f<strong>en</strong>ce<br />

which together are <strong>les</strong>s than one<br />

metre high.<br />

The cobbled area is up to 4.80 m wide<br />

and has the characteristic construction<br />

features of cart tracks, "cad<strong>en</strong>a"<br />

(row of rectangular stones) and small<br />

drainage channels.<br />

Carni veil de Billitx<br />

Uses<br />

Access track leading to the Balitx d'Amunt,<br />

Balitx d'Enmig and Balitx d'Avall<br />

estates. Parts of it lie on the old public<br />

road which led from Soller to Tu<strong>en</strong>t<br />

and sa Ca/obra.<br />

Construction Features<br />

The track has a supporting wall and is<br />

oft<strong>en</strong> bordered on the other side by<br />

farmland terrace walls.<br />

The maximum width of the track's surface<br />

is 4.50 m and it has corner posts<br />

for protection.<br />

There are drainage ditches to collect<br />

water flowing down the hillside to stop<br />

it damaging the surface of the track;<br />

some of them carry the water to channels<br />

leading downhill.<br />
