VSky Software Manager confirms the sandbox is created.

Creating a Sandbox
If the sandbox path does not exist, it is created automatically. If the
sandbox path is not specified, the sandbox is created in the current
directory.
To create a variant sandbox in the command line interface
Use the si createsandbox command, for example:
si createsandbox --project=value --devpath=value
sandboxpath
where
--project=value specifies the path and name of the master
project, for example, --project=c:/masterdemo/project.pj
--devpath=value specifies the development path of the master
project, for example, --devpath=Variant Project
sandboxpath specifies the path of the new sandbox, for example,
c:/variantsandbox

To create a build sandbox in the command line interface
Use the si createsandbox command, for example:
si createsandbox --project=value -projectRevision=value
sandboxpath
where
--project=value specifies the path and name of the master
project, for example, --project=c:/masterdemo/project.pj
--projectRevision=value specifies the project revision you
want to create a sandbox from, for example, -projectRevision=1.2
sandboxpath specifies the path of the new sandbox, for example,
c:/buildsandbox
