VEHICLECTRICLE
POWER SYSTEM
Purpose :-
* As an option of non-renewable source of energy, to use pollution
free renewable source of energy.
* To protect the environment by using pollution free energy
sources.
Principle:-
* Conversion of the air into electricity.
* Conversion of kinetic energy into wind energy
1. Introduction
i) Rationale Behind Construction Of The Exhibit:
These vertical axis wind turbines have been installed in Nebraska,
Texas and California in mid 2010. and expand at a rate of up to 5
miles per month. Other states and countries will follow. In India we
have 15 National express highways with total length of 636.19 km.
In express highway 15 vehicle pass par minute. We can utilize these
highways to produce vehicle power electricity.
ii) The scientific principle involved.
The scientific principle involved conversion of the air displaced by
passing vehicles on highways into electricity
2. Description
(i) Material used for the construction.
Plywood, toy vehicles, l.e.d bulbs., wind mills, electric motor,
galvanometer, etc.
(ii) Construction and working of exhibit /model;
Construction
2012
A piece of plywood has been painted and made like express
highway. Painted wood pieces have been fixed in the middle of the
ply which looks like dividers. Vertical axis wind turbines have been
placed atop these dividers at regular distance. For demonstration
purpose these wind turbines are rotated with toy motors run by
electricity from the Transformer. These turbines are joined with
generators which produce electricity. The produced electricity is
used to illuminate toll offices and pole lights on both sides of the
road. Surrounding area are also providing this energy.
