AUTOMATIC DOOR LIGHT<br />

AND AUDIO SYSTEM<br />

The model in question is <strong>of</strong> a system which can be<br />

installed at <strong>the</strong> entry point <strong>of</strong> any house/shop or any o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

establishment. It has a usual door-bell and a switch. When<br />

<strong>the</strong> visitor presses <strong>the</strong> door-bell-switch, <strong>the</strong> door-light gets<br />

turned on. It is accompanied by <strong>the</strong> audio system getting<br />

turned on. As a result <strong>the</strong> person sitting inside can talk to<br />

<strong>the</strong> visitor(standing outside) from <strong>the</strong> comfort <strong>of</strong> his/her<br />

room.<br />

This system may be <strong>of</strong> special use in cases <strong>of</strong>:<br />

—Patients<br />

—Severely disabled persons<br />

—Severe Cold Seasons<br />

—During <strong>the</strong> environment <strong>of</strong> insecurity.<br />

—House occupants being busy when a 'wrong' visitor<br />

knocks.<br />

The door-light and door-bell get turned on only for a<br />

limited period (after <strong>the</strong> door-bell-switch's pressed). The<br />

door-light does not glow <strong>during</strong> day. So <strong>the</strong>re is no<br />

wastage <strong>of</strong> electricity.<br />

Construction (Summary):<br />

The system has, besides usual door-bell/light, switches<br />

etc., some transformers(for stepping-up/down electricity),<br />

Rectifiers(consisting <strong>of</strong> 4 diodes) to change AC to Splitting<br />

DC, Condensor(for filtering split DC), IC, Some relays,<br />

LDR, Capacitor, Audio amplifier, Speakers, Micprophones,<br />

etc.<br />

With a little addition, this system can also be used to have<br />

a two-way video talk with <strong>the</strong> visitor.<br />
