AGRICULTURE AND
FOOD SECURITY
Integrated organic farming is a cyclic zero waste
procedure in which the waste of one process is utilized as
nutrient for the other process.
Here, we have dairy farming, agricultural field, bio gas
plant, rain water harvesting and bee keeping. The animals
at dairy farm will get their feed from the field and the
waste of the animals (cattle dung) will be used as fuel for
the bio gas plant. The bio gas produced from bio-gas plant
will be used as commercial fuel for the house for cooking
and lightening. The waste of biogas plant (Slury) will be
used as manure for the agriculture field. At the roof of the
house we have set up a rain harvesting system. After rain,
the water will be stored in a tank with the help of a
pipeline connection. This water will be used to irrigate the
filed. Along with this we have also set up bee keeping. As
we know that bees are best pollinating agent. So they will
suck nectar from the flowers grown along the boundary of
the crop pollination. In this way all of these are
interlinked with each other and there is no waster at all.
That is why integrated organic farming organic farming is
a cyclic zero waste there is no waste at all. And along with
this our production of crops in the field will be free of
chemical fertilizers.
