ENERGY SAVING SPEED BRAKER
Now a days, our country is facing shortage of electrical
energy. This project is aimed to produce and convert
electrical energy at speed brakes. In India, we have busy
roads and toll gates with large no of speed brakes. It this
instrument is installed at speed brakes, when vehicle
crosses the speed braker, its kinetic energy is converted
into potential energy to the springs. In turn, it is
transferred into electrical energy which can be used for
operating traffic signals. This energy can be also stored in
storage batteries and used at right for street lighting
purpose. If it is implemented energy shortage could be
tackled to some extent.
