SELF-SUSTAINED HOUSE
Human civilization's energy consumption is growing. At the
same time, the harmful environmental impact of our energy
usage is becoming apparent. A massive global effort to adopt
renewable energy has begun. We must use Earth's resources at a
rate at which they can be replenished, and thus provide for
future generations to live as we have.
Solar Energy – To Generate Cheap, Green Electricity As long as
the sun shines, life on our planet can be supported. It can be
used for Lighting and heating the House.
Wind Energy : Wind can be used for specific tasks such as
grinding grain or pumping water or a generator can convert it
into electricity to power homes, businesses, schools etc.
Rain Water Harvesting System
It simply means catching and holding rain where it falls and
storing it in tanks or to recharge groundwater.
Water Purification- Obtaining fresh water from salty or impure
water by evaporation and condensation.
Green House- Green houses can be used to create conditions
suitable for plant growth even in the harshest conditions.
Composting- Wastes are nothing but misplaced resources. A
large volume of organic matter is generated from agricultural
activities, dairy farms and animal shelters which can be utilised
by properly by composting it .
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning- While evaporating water will
make its surrounding cooler by extracting heat. The Air
conditioning system and Refrigerator is based on this principle.
