MODERN GRANARY
Introduction: Due to traditional way of stocking grains 15-20%
of the food stock is being spoiled by insects, rats, humidity,
temperature and other causes. But cent percent safe and ideal
stocking can be done with MODERN GRANERY.
Main advantages of the Project:-
—Grain can be protected by access humidity.
—Human resource deficiency can be fulfilled.
—Stock measurement can be taken easily.
—Expenditure on stocking baggages can be saved.
—Specimen could be tested at the time of trading.
—Innovative MODERN GRANARY can be constructed easily at
convenient places and for desired size by Farmers, Traders and
Warehouses.
Importance of the Project:-
—Different kinds of grains with big magnitudes can be stocked.
—There is little chance for casual calamities.
—Grains can be taken out easily.
—Stock can be monitored easily.
—Grains remain in good conditions due to availability of
sufficient air and sunlight.
—Ideal for the seedling stock.
Construction: Storage is a cylindrical structure with two walls
with holes or steel rods with mesh. The Outer wall door,
measuring scale, windows and space for the aeration are at a
distance of 1 1/2 inch (feet) from innerwall. The storage can be
connected to another with a pipe connection.
Procedure: As stated already, manually or mechanically grains
can be stored in the two walled storage if a grain is in big
quantity it can be transferred to second and third storage. Plenty
of air, light provide ideal stocking conditions. Mesh provides
protection from the menance of insects and rats. Grains can be
stored and taken out by a single person. This provided for the
non-use of toxic pesticides also there by.
