VERTICAL AXIS WIND<br />

VANE GENERATION<br />

Principle: It is a device which converts “Mechanical<br />

energy” into “Electrical energy” , Basis from Anemometer<br />

(Wind Vane)<br />

Procedure <strong>of</strong> working:<br />

Traditional wind vane produces when wind blows in <strong>the</strong><br />

Opposite direction to it wings where as VAWG produces<br />

electricity when wind blows in Any direction in its wings.<br />

This device produce electricity when wind blows in any<br />

direction to it wing. Consists <strong>of</strong> three semicircular wings<br />

fixed to a vertical axis. A pulley is fixed to <strong>the</strong> axis. First<br />

wind enters into <strong>the</strong> hallow regime <strong>of</strong> semicircular wings,<br />

by this wind exists some pressure <strong>of</strong> semicircular wings.<br />

So that <strong>the</strong> wings will be rotated. Due to <strong>the</strong> rotation <strong>of</strong><br />

wings pulley attached to it rotates and <strong>the</strong> equipment<br />

inside <strong>the</strong> electric motor rotates with <strong>the</strong> help <strong>of</strong> belt drive<br />

by electricity pass electric motor through <strong>the</strong> copper wires<br />

into LED glows.<br />
