MUSHROOM PROJECT
INTRODUCTION: Mushroom is a fungus which can be
used in eating. It's farming is beneficial. It's production
value is affordable. It has its herbal, ecological and
financial benefits.
WORK PROCESS: The seed of the Mushroom is mixed
with the boiled straw or husk and kept in a shady place
and after that it is duly packed in polythene bags. After
that it is kept in a hut or in a shady place. After 20-22 days
Mushroom starts sprouting.
PROBLEM AND SOLUTION: The biggest problem with
the production of Mushroom was that its farming could
have been made possible only in winter seasons. But I
took it as a challenge and keeping in view with the
farmers interest. I started my research to do its farming
even in summer season.
I am doing so I adopted following steps:-
(I) Installad cooler in the production hall. But farmer
can use zero energy cooling chamber or mud-built
house also to curtail cost of production.
(II) Mushroom bags were kept in cool and shady places.
(III) Mushroom bags were carefully protected from
sunlight.
(IV) In order to maintain the place wet and moist proper
amount of water was sprayed after an interval.
(V) Seed was stored in freeze.
(VI) Conservation of Mushroom was given due care.
By adopting aforesaid measures I absorbed that
production of Mushroom may be made possible even in
summer season.
CONCLUSION: Farming of Mushroom is possible round
the year in Bihar.
