(c) "Verdict" Defined<br />

For purposes of this Rule, "verdict" means (1) a verdict<br />

returned by a petit jury or (2) a sentence returned by a jury in<br />

a sentencing proceeding conducted pursuant to Code, Criminal Law<br />

Article, §2-303 or 2-304.<br />

Committee note: This Rule does not address or affect the secrecy<br />

of gr<strong>and</strong> jury proceedings.<br />

REPORTER'S NOTE<br />

The proposed amendment to Rule 5-606 prohibits impeachment<br />
