REPORTER’S NOTE<br />

The Honorable Paul Mannes, a judge of the United States<br />

Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryl<strong>and</strong> observed that in<br />

1996, the Uniform Act on Certification was amended to include the<br />

United States Bankruptcy Court <strong>and</strong> that Code, Courts Article,<br />

§12-603 authorizes the Court of Appeals to answer questions of<br />

law certified to it from certain other courts, among which is the<br />

Bankruptcy Court. The proposed amendment to Rule 8-305 (a)<br />

conforms the Rule to the statute.<br />

The proposed amendment to section (b) of the Rule is<br />

stylistic, only.<br />
