CHAPTER 700 - DISCIPLINE AND INACTIVE STATUS OF ATTORNEYS<br />

AMEND Rule 16-781 to require that a certain notification be<br />

given by the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, as follows:<br />

Rule 16-781. REINSTATEMENT<br />

(l) Duties of Clerk<br />

(1) Generally<br />

Promptly after the effective date of an order that<br />

reinstates a petitioner, the Clerk of the Court of Appeals shall<br />

give any notice required by Rule 16-723 (e).<br />

(1) (2) Attorney Admitted to Practice<br />

Upon receiving a reinstatement notice authorized by<br />

section (e) of this Rule, or on the effective date of an order or<br />

notice that reinstates a petitioner admitted by the Court of<br />

Appeals to the practice of law, the Clerk of the Court of Appeals<br />

shall place the name of the petitioner on the register of<br />

attorneys in that Court <strong>and</strong> shall certify that fact to the<br />

Trustees of the Client Protection Fund of the Bar of Maryl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

to the clerks of all courts in the State.<br />

(2) (3) Attorney Not Admitted to Practice<br />

Upon receiving a reinstatement notice authorized by<br />

section (e) of this Rule, or on the effective date of an order or<br />
