AMEND Rule 16-101 to add certain provisions concerning<br />

Circuit Administrative Judges <strong>and</strong> to clarify <strong>and</strong> restate the<br />

authority of County Administrative Judges with respect to certain<br />

matters, as follows:<br />

Rule 16-101. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY<br />

d. County Administrative Judge.<br />

1. Designation.<br />

After considering the recommendation of the Circuit<br />

Administrative Judge, The the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals<br />

may appoint a judge of the Circuit Court for any county to be<br />

County Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for that county.<br />

A County Administrative Judge shall serve in that capacity at the<br />

pleasure of the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals.<br />

2. Duties.<br />

Subject to the supervision of the Chief Judge of the<br />

Court of Appeals Circuit Administrative Judge, a County<br />

Administrative Judge shall be responsible for the administration<br />

of justice <strong>and</strong> for the administration of the court for that<br />

county. The duties shall include:<br />
