its subject matter previously made by that party without the<br />

showing required under section (c) (d) of this Rule. A person<br />

who is not a party may obtain, or may authorize in writing a<br />

party to obtain, a statement concerning the action or its subject<br />

matter previously made by that person without the showing<br />

required under section (c) (d) of this Rule. For purposes of<br />

this section, a statement previously made is (1) a written<br />

statement signed or otherwise adopted or approved by the person<br />

making it, or (2) a stenographic, mechanical, electrical, or<br />

other recording, or a transcription thereof, that is a<br />

substantially verbatim recital of an oral statement by the person<br />

making it <strong>and</strong> contemporaneously recorded.<br />

(e) (f) Trial Preparation--Experts<br />

(1) Expected to Be Called at Trial<br />

(A) Generally<br />

Discovery of findings <strong>and</strong> opinions of experts, otherwise<br />

discoverable under the provisions of section (a) of this Rule <strong>and</strong><br />

acquired or developed in anticipation of litigation or for trial,<br />

may be obtained without the showing required under section (c) of<br />

this Rule only as follows: (A) A party by interrogatories may<br />

require any other party to identify each person, other than a<br />

party, whom the other party expects to call as an expert witness<br />

at trial,; to state the subject matter on which the expert is<br />

expected to testify,; to state the substance of the findings <strong>and</strong><br />

the opinions to which the expert is expected to testify <strong>and</strong> a<br />

summary of the grounds for each opinion,; <strong>and</strong> to produce any<br />
