CHAPTER 100 - COURT ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE, JUDICIAL<br />

DUTIES, ETC.<br />

AMEND Rule 16-108 to add a new subsection concerning the<br />

appointment of a Business <strong>and</strong> Technology Case Management<br />

Committee, as follows:<br />

Rule 16-108. CONFERENCE OF CIRCUIT JUDGES<br />

a. Purpose.<br />

There shall be a Conference of Circuit Judges that represents<br />

the interests of the circuit courts <strong>and</strong> is a policy advisory body<br />

to the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals,<br />

<strong>and</strong> other judicial branch agencies in all circuit court matters.<br />

b. Powers.<br />

1. Administration Policies.<br />

To fulfill its purpose, the Conference shall work<br />

collaboratively <strong>and</strong> in consultation with the Chief Judge of the<br />

Court of Appeals in developing policies affecting the<br />

administration of the circuit courts, including but not limited<br />

to:<br />

(A) programs <strong>and</strong> practices that will enhance the<br />

administration of justice;<br />

(B) the level of operational <strong>and</strong> judicial resources to be<br />

included in the Judiciary Budget;<br />
