regions in AP. Note that<br />

the WPRs do not reflect<br />

employment and<br />

unemployment<br />

conditions due to<br />

definitional variations.<br />

For example, the WPR<br />

which was 54% in 1961 has declined to 45% level by 2001 in Telangana; and a<br />

similar decline has also occurred in the two other regions. However, in 2001<br />

highest WPR is found in Rayalaseema at about 48% and both coastal Andhra and<br />

Telangana have recorded WPR just at about 45% each (See Figure 2.30). A<br />
